Colin Campbell grew up in Indiana and joined the Marine Corps right after high school. Following a medical discharge from the Marines, he became a career firefighter and served in that role for 12 years until his service-connected disability forced him out of fire service.

Colin then worked as an emergency manager for Cascade County City-County Health and served as the county EMS Duty Officer. He joined MT DES in 2023 with the intent of using his skills and knowledge to have an impact on a larger population.
