Montana Disaster and Emergency Services will be hosting an Orientation for DES Coordinators on Feb. 8-10, 2022.
Montana Disaster and Emergency Services will be hosting an Orientation for DES Coordinators. The orientation will familiarize County and Tribal DES Coordinators with the programs within MT DES and the assistance each program can provide. The workshop will cover high level elements of emergency management, including mitigation, preparedness, grants, response, the duty officer program, recovery, and more.
When: Feb. 8-10 (half days on the 8th and 10th to allow for travel)
Who should attend: The orientation is designed for local and tribal DES coordinators with 3 or fewer years on the job, but all are welcome
Where: Auditorium at Fort Harrison
Lodging: A block of hotel rooms have been held at the government rate at the DoubleTree by Hilton, under the name “DES Orientation”. Call 406-443-2200 before Jan. 25 to reserve your room. Lodging costs are the responsibility of the participant.
