Please mark your calendars for August 11, 2021 for our next National  EAS/WEA Test [fema.gov], 12:20 PM MT.

Special note that the WEA test will only go to folks that have opted in to receive WEA tests. 

Here are the procedures to "opt-in" for WEA tests. Might be an opportunity to test with a few trusted emergency response partners in your area and track the reception of these alerts for various locations, providers, etc.  FEMA graphics also attached.  

  IPhone  - Apple IOS

  • Open the phone keypad
  • To turn feature on type: *5005*25371# and tap receiver
  • You will get a message “ Test Alerts Enabled”
  • To turn feature off type: *5005*25370# and tap receiver
  • You will get a message “Test Alerts Disabled”

   Android

  • Toggle Button
  • Toggle on “State/local test alerts”

 WEA test messages honor phone settings (Do Not Disturb/Vibrate)
